This policy explains how cancellation, change and refund requests are handled for train and rail reservations arranged through our independent travel reservation service.
Carrier fare rules control
Each reservation is subject to the rules of the operating carrier and the fare purchased. Some fares may be refundable, partially refundable, changeable with a fee, or non-refundable/non-changeable.
Cancellation requests
Contact us as soon as possible if you want to cancel. A cancellation request is not complete until the operating carrier or supplier confirms it. Any refund amount is determined under applicable carrier/fare rules.
Changes
A requested change may involve a fare difference, carrier fee, new restrictions or loss of the original fare. We review available options before processing a requested change.
Service or agency fees
A disclosed service or agency fee may be charged for reservation assistance. Its amount and refundability should be disclosed before payment authorization. Carrier fees and fare differences are separate.
Refund timing
When a refund is approved, processing time can depend on the operating carrier, payment processor and financial institution.
